We're looking for a seasoned Software Engineer to join a growing SaaS product team based in Sydney, where you'll work across the full development lifecycle on a platform used by thousands of customers. This is a permanent, hands-on engineering role where your contributions will directly shape product direction and technical architecture. Designing, building, and maintaining scalable front-end features using React, with a focus on performance and user experience
Architecting and deploying cloud infrastructure on AWS, including services such as Lambda, EC2, S3, and RDS
Collaborating closely with product managers, designers, and backend engineers within an Agile/Scrum framework to deliver iterative releases
Participating in code reviews and contributing to engineering standards, ensuring consistency and quality across the codebase
Identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks, bugs, and technical debt in both front-end and cloud-based systems
Contributing to architectural decisions and technical roadmap discussions as a senior voice on the team
Mentoring junior engineers and supporting knowledge sharing across the engineering function
5+ years of solid software engineering experience, with the majority spent in a SaaS product environment
Strong proficiency in React, including hooks, state management, and component architecture
Hands-on AWS experience across core services, with an understanding of cloud-native design principles
Proven experience working within Agile delivery frameworks, including sprint planning, retrospectives, and iterative development
Solid understanding of RESTful APIs and experience integrating front-end applications with backend services
A track record of writing maintainable, well-tested code with attention to security and scalability
Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage constructively in technical discussions and design reviews
